Sundarban Police District, West Bengal Police ensures 20 years imprisonment for the accused on Crime Against Children. On 1st August 2021, a complaint was registered at Pathar Pratima Police Station that a minor girl was sexually assaulted. One team under Sub- Inspector Dibas Ghosh immediately swung into action and arrested the accused. After meticulous investigation, a charge sheet was submitted by the I.O. within the stipulated period. Ld. ADJ 1st Court, Kakdwip, South 24 Parganas passed the verdict on 11th march 2023. The accused Srikrishna Das of Paschim Dwarikapur, PS- Pathar Pratima, South 24 Parganas, was punished and sentenced to imprisonment for 20 years with a fine RS- 50000/- if failed to pay, imprisonment of 6 months more.
